Mindset in the Curriculum

Teachers tell us that one of the best ways to embed growth mindset in a school is by integrating it into everyday teaching.

Being able to weave growth mindset principles into an English, maths or science lesson has the potential to more effective than just teaching growth mindset as a standalone subject.

That’s why the majority of teachers who take part in our growth mindset programme choose a curricular option – opting to learn about growth mindset with a specific application to a curricular area.

We have courses available in:
  • Primary school science
  • Secondary school maths
  • Maths
  • Literacy
  • Health and wellbeing

ENQUIRE ABOUT MINDSET IN THE CURRICULUM
From speaking to and surveying teachers around the country, we have learned that a significant number of children in Scotland are uncomfortable doing maths.

In 2022, a survey conducted with 6,500 Scottish pupils told us that around half of them feel 'anxious' or 'nervous' about maths.

That’s why growth mindset with maths is our most popular professional learning approach.

Developed in partnership with Dr Jo Boaler of Stanford University, our mindset in numeracy programme supports teachers and school leadership to understand and tackle the challenges their colleagues and pupils encounter in maths.

Check out our Applied Growth Mindset and Limitless Learning courses to see what curricular options are available.
