Making the classroom a positive experience
Rebecca Reid P5, and Nadia Taylor P2, completed Winning Scotland’s mindset in education training for different reasons, but they found the outcome for their pupils was the same.
Rebecca signed up as a newly qualified teacher to extend her learning and experience, and Nadia wanted to deepen her own understanding of growth mindset.
Both teachers at St Mary’s Primary School in Dundee have seen a positive change in their classrooms. The children are more confident and have a better understanding of why a positive mindset is so important. They are more willing to try challenges and accept things are sometimes difficult.
