Katherine Falconer
proGRAMME DIRECTOR -planet youth in scotland
Passionate about building confidence and resilience, empowering people to reach their potential and enabling happier, healthier lives
Katherine is a dynamic and experienced programme manager with a delivery-focussed, people-oriented approach developed through diverse advisory, implementation and leadership roles spanning more than twenty years in central government. She is a strategic thinker with wide-ranging policy development and delivery experience, with strong competencies around analysis and use of evidence.

She joined Winning Scotland in spring 2023 as the Programme Director for Planet Youth in Scotland, with a mission to drive work funded by significant new Scottish Government investment to test out approaches and unlock its potential for Scotland. She is a champion of collaborative working to create lasting positive change for young people and their communities.

Beyond work and family, Katherine volunteers as a coach with Smartworks Scotland and has been an active member of the Scottish orienteering community for some years, volunteering in a range of capacities, particularly around communications, event planning and organisation, coaching juniors and coordinating the development programme. She loves anything active and outdoors, and is a keen hillwalker and cyclist, with on-going involvement in volunteer work with her school and the wider community to encourage active travel.
