Winning Scotland is a catalyst for change. Our mission, working in partnership across Scotland, is to empower people with resilience, ambition and versatility. Additional elevator pitch line
Winning Scotland aims to empower children, young people, and adults, with a current focus on these key areas...
We want people in Scotland to have confidence and self-belief. For children and young people, this includes feeling happy, healthy, and prepared for their future.
Winning Scotland’s approach is different. We support the adults with the biggest influence on the children and young people. This includes; parents, carers, teachers, social care workers, youth workers, employability workers, and sports coaches.
By equipping these groups with the skills, knowledge, and confidence, they are better able to support the children and young people to have confidence and self-belief. This helps ensure that Scotland embeds a culture of positivity, resilience, and ambition for future generations.
What are the intended outcomes?
how do we achieve this?
Winning Scotland...
Identifies the NEED for outcomes to improve the lives of children and young people
Conducts RESEARCH on global and local initiatives that are potentially suitable for the Scottish context.
COLLABORATES with public and private sector organisations and funders to pilot programs and initiatives
EVALUATES the impact of initiatives to learn, improve, and assess for wider implementation.
Creates a LEGACY by transferring successful programs to partners for broader implementation across Scotland.
Is the above too complex? Are we better off discussing topics such as mindset, prevention, upstream etc?
The work that Winning Scotland does isn't possible without collaboration. We are proud to have partnered with over 300 schools, universities, public and private groups, third-sector organisations, and local and national government so far. We are also a proud member of four membership organisations in Scotland with aligned values.
